About Rewarewa

Rewarewa (Knightia excelsa), meaning "tall knight", is a canopy-emergent native tree commonly found in lowland and hilly forests throughout New Zealand, reaching heights of up to 30 meters. Its striking, tubular, curled, reddish-brown flowers bloom briefly in November, during New Zealand's summer, producing abundant nectar that drips from the blooms and gives off a distinctive honeyed fragrance. Rare nectar-feeding birds and bees indulge in this golden nectar. Rewarewa was traditionally used in Māori medicine for wound healing, treating inflammation, soothing sore throats, and as a tonic to support overall health and vitality.

The Benefits

-Natural immune support – helping to fight infections and promote well-being
-Skin health – used in premium skincare for its soothing and healing properties
-Digestive wellness – a natural prebiotic that supports gut health
