About Clover

Clover is a widespread ground cover plant found in pastures, meadows, and open fields across New Zealand. It features trifoliate leaves and clusters of small white or red flowers that bloom during the warmer months. Clover is valued for its ability to fix nitrogen in the soil, making it a key plant in grazing systems. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, contributing to the health of pastoral ecosystems.

The Benefits

Beyond its delightful taste, clover honey is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and bioactive compounds that contribute to its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Studies on Trifolium spp. have revealed isoflavonoids and essential nutrients that support cardiovascular health, hormone balance, and overall well-being. Red clover, in particular, has shown promise in managing menopausal symptoms, heart health, and even certain cancers.

Commercial Uses of Clover Honey

Honey Varietals

We don't just do Mānuka Honey but a range of Native Varietal Honeys as well as Thyme and Clover. These varietals are crafted by bees collecting nectar from multiple unique and renowned native floral sources including Kāmahi, Kānuka, Pōhutukawa, and Rewarewa.
