Authentic Raw Mānuka Honey of New Zealand

Raw Product - Unpasteurised. Harvested by hand with minimal processing at low temperatures to ensure its raw vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, and antioxidants are kept intact.

MGO Certified - Independently Tested* by NZ Govt approved Laboratories who measure the bioactive compounds responsible for the unique health benefits.

This Mānuka Honey MGO 830+ is certified to contain at least 830 mg/kg of Methylglyoxal.

*All honey labelled as mānuka for export must be tested by an MPI (NZ Government) approved laboratory to ensure it meets the Mānuka Honey Science Definition. This definition is made up of a combination of 5 attributes (4 chemicals from nectar and 1 DNA marker from mānuka pollen). This regulation provides a structure to separate mānuka honey from other honey types and identify it as either monofloral or multifloral mānuka honey.

What is Mānuka?

Mānuka honey is a rich, creamy and often dark honey produced by bees from the nectar of flowers of the Mānuka tree. It contains unique antioxidants, prebiotics and an antibacterial compound called Methylglyoxal (MGO).

About MGO

Methylglyoxal (MGO) is the unique naturally occurring antibacterial compound in Mānuka honey.

Higher MGO values indicate higher antibacterial activity, it also indicates higher levels of other active, beneficial compounds in the Mānuka honey. In simple terms, the higher the MGO, the higher the potency of Mānuka honey.

Independently Tested for Global Assurance

Since 2017, all honey labeled as Mānuka for export is rigorously tested by MPI-recognized laboratories according to the MPI Mānuka Honey Science Definition. This process verifies five key markers - four unique nectar compounds, and one DNA marker from mānuka pollen - to ensure authenticity.

We also test to meet the specific requirements of our clients including quite specific diastase and pollen requirements for the EU. Our UMF and Organic Certification also ensures our products consistently meet the highest global standards, giving you complete confidence in their quality and authenticity.
